She looked up and found the ceiling wet and forming huge drops just above her desk.  There was a similar patch over the bed and another just in front of the door.<\/p>\n<p>Our first thought was that the monsoon rain had breached the roof and was collecting above us, but then we remembered that the attic flat above us was a different orientation and may have a bathroom tucked into that corner.  I ran up and rang their bell, but no one answered.  Not having skylights, they get their natural light from a window onto the stairwell and I looked in there.  The curtains were gone, as was all the furniture inside.  We&#8217;d seen them moving out in the morning.  And I could hear a tap running inside.<\/p>\n<p>The landlord, our massive doctor Pumpkin puffed his way four flights of stairs with his key and reported back to us that the departing tenants had left 2 taps fully open.  He says that we&#8217;d had another water outage in the morning, but we hadn&#8217;t noticed.
