Last night was the bonfire and salsa farewell for some expat friends. Dad and Brady were too exhausted to join, but Mum came along with Marie and me. It was a great night – all the expats in full party mode and all very friendly, and of course it wouldn’t have been anything without a strong contingent of locals.
Today both Dad and Mum came along to watch us rock climb. Dad couldn’t help himself and spent the whole time fixing back problems for Robin and Pelden, the local regulars. They advised him to open up a practice in Bhutan.
Tonight we go for dinner in Babesa with Kinley and whichever family members are home. Either Kinga or Pemba needs to stay back in the jungle to manage the power line project, but we hope one of them will be able to join.
